Resources for the Cape Town Business Traveller

City of Cape Town

Cape Town Business Traveller
Cape Town and the Western Cape is South Africa's fastest growing business tourism destination. Cape Town's economy has developed in leaps and bounds since South Africa became a democratic nation in 1994 and a healthy trade environment attracts foreign trade and investment.

Cape Town and the Western Cape now has a lot to offer the business traveller or conference delegate. This page contains useful information and contacts.

Cape Town Airport: Cape Town's international airport has been voted the 'leading airport in Africa' for the last 4 years. It is situated about 20kms. from the CBD and is served by at least 20 international airlines with direct flights to several major cities. Many other flights are routed via Johannesburg which adds about 2 hours to flight times.

Facilities at the airport include banks, shops, car hire, long term parking, and flight/tourist information. Transport to the CBD is available via shuttle buses and metered taxis. Tel: +27 21 937 1200 Cape Town Airport

For the conference organiser - How about a conference combined with a wildlife safari only 90 mins. from Cape Town? Interested? For more information go here Cape Town safari conferencing

Booking your flight ticket online
Always make sure you know which airline you're going to be booked on when flying to South Africa in case you need to make changes before you leave. Once you've booked and paid for a specific flight ticket, expect to pay extra if you want to move to another flight.

One of the best ways to find and book a cheap flight is by using an online system which searches for and compares the rates charged by all the airlines servicing the route you require. You simply enter your departure and arrival points and the dates of your flights, and you are presented with a list of the different airline ticket rates. You then select and book the airline you require.

I have placed such a script to the right of this text. Also use it to search for hotels and car hire at cheaper rates.
