The safari reserve is vast (some 4,500 hectares) and there are many animals and birds in residence, not to mention
luxury
4 star African style safari lodges in which to spend the peaceful clear Karoo nights.

Giraffe on the Cape Town Game ReserveSpeaking of which, you've probably never seen  star filled African night skies such as those you will find on the reserve - I've seen them for my self and it's a sight worth experiencing. Next to the bracing fresh country air, it's one of the aspects of the whole experience I found the most memorable! All the more reason for you to get
out there asap and arrange an overnight safari.

So what wildlife will you expect to find on this exclusive Cape Town game reserve? Too many
to  mention - but just to whet your appetite in the meantime see below..

Yes, of course you'll see the 'Big 5' lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant, but there are also herds of Wildebeest, Zebra, Springbok, Gemsbok, Steenbok, Caracal (lynx), Bat Eared Fox, Klip Springer, Duiker, Baboon,  Jackal, Eland, giraffe, and Hartebeest, among plenty of other animals.

Are you a bird watcher? Plenty of birdlife here too! The environment and natural wetland on this Cape Town game reserve is home to some 172 species of birds. King of them all is the rare Black Eagle. Then there is the Booted Eagle, ostriches, flamingos in the rainy season, warblers, flycatchers, buntings and many more species.

Another must see if you go for ancient history, are the genuine Bushmen rock art sites. Believe me these are an eye opener! You'll get to visit them on your safari.
