The Cape Town Safari Lion

From Wikipedia: lions once roamed throughout Europe and Asia. They are now mainly found in Central and Southern Africa and their numbers are depleting. They are the 2nd largest of the big cats after the tiger. A fully grown male lion weighs up to 500 lb or 225 kg. Their lifespan is up to 14 years in the wild and 20 years in captivity.  The females do the hunting for the pride while the males guard and patrol their territory.
