You want to find suitable Cape Town accommodation but your knowledge of the Cape area is limited, so how do you arrive at the best convenience and value in your selection of capetown hotels?

Well, it helps to make sure that your hotel is graded. The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa regulates the various accommodation establishments in South Africa by grading them with ratings.

The official grading of a hotel or guest house means that it is officially rated from one to five stars depending on the standards provided, and is advertised accordingly. You then make your own assessment in terms of quality and cost.

A one star rating is allocated to an establishment providing clean and comfortable accommodation at an economical price. At the other end of the scale, five stars caters for those who prefer to pay for top end luxury accommodation and facilities.

There is a lot of written information to be found about Capetown hotels and in fact a lot of glossy advertising publications are available at Cape Town Tourism offices in the city and at other points. I have set up a number of pages on this site enabling you to find and book your favourite Cape Town hotel online as well as locate picturesque Guest houses and Self Catering establishments.
