Cape Town Citysightseeing
Topless Bus Touring

Our popular open-top Cape Town
Citysightseeing Bus service, complete with audio commentary in 16 languages, gives you the opportunity to explore two interesting routes in and around the city while you listen to descriptions of popular attractions, with snippets of history included.

These bright red buses are easy to spot and you can board them at various points throughout Cape Town and suburbs.

You simply buy your ticket in advance or when you board, and hop off and hop on the next bus as you please along the route.

The Cape Town Citysightseeing buses start daily from 09h10 outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront.

You have a choice of the Red City Tour or the longer Blue Mini Peninsula Tour. Your tour choice will be clearly indicated on your ticket and is prominently displayed on the buses, so you'll be able to determine at a glance where you'll be going. Each tour takes around 2 hours to complete and the buses leave at 15-20 minute intervals.

The Red City Tour will take you around the city area as far as Seapoint and the Table Mountain lower Cable Station ending at the Waterfront.

The Blue Tour will transport you out of the city, through the Constantia Winelands to Hout Bay before returning to the Waterfront.

You can buy your tickets as you board a Cape Town Citysightseeing Bus at various indicated bus stop points around the city, at the ticket office outside the Two Oceans Aquarium or get them at Cape Town Tourism in Lower Burg st.

At the time of writing the costs are ZAR130 for an Adult 1 Day ticket on the Blue or Red route, or ZAR250 for a 2 Day ticket. Children 5-15 yrs old pay ZAR70 for a 1 Day ticket. Note that these rates are subject to change as necessary.
