A variety of birdlife such as flamingos and pelicans are observed throughout the year which makes the region special, and magnificent views can be had of Table Mountain and the Tableview area. The Cape Oasis Guest House is also not far from the Bayside shopping centre which is one of the major shopping centres in Tableview. The centre contains restaurants, cinemas, shops and a supermarket.
